THE BRIEF: NCIS: Tony & Ziva marks the highly anticipated return of "Tiva," the franchise’s ultimate "will-they-won't-they" fan favorites. Moving away from the traditional procedural format, this new chapter follows the couple and their daughter across Europe as they are framed in a massive international plot and forced on the run. The goal was to reward a fiercely devoted, decades-long fanbase while executing a massive, premium rollout across Paid Media, Digital, Print & Digital OOH, OTT, and Social.
SOLUTION: By splitting the difference between a techno-thriller and a workplace comedy, we established an "upgraded," cinematic brand identity that leans heavily into a sleek, Hitchcockian aesthetic. The visuals bridge the undeniable, banter-filled chemistry of Tony and Ziva with sweeping, colorful, widescreen action set against exotic European backdrops. To fuel fan excitement after a 12-year on-screen hiatus, the creative prominently teased the long-awaited family dynamic with their daughter, Tali, while packing the promotional art with action-oriented, high-tech visual nods to the global conspiracy at hand.
IMPACT: The campaign successfully re-ignited global "Tiva" fever, drawing in millions of legacy viewers and franchise newcomers alike, cementing the series as a massive, blockbuster extension of the NCIS universe.
