OVERVIEW

ART DIRECTION For a Hit CBS Drama

The series FIRE COUNTRY stars Max Thieriot (SEAL TEAM) as Bode Leone, a young convict who sought redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates were partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region. Years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire.

As Art Director for the Fire Country marketing campaign, I established the overall visual direction for this hit CBS drama.

My role was to define and execute a heroic, cinematic, and emotionally driven visual strategy that successfully captured the intense, high-stakes drama of the show. I oversaw the full creative process: from developing initial mood boards and art-directing talent photography (shot by James Minchin), to leading a team of internal and external partners in the production of all final print, digital, and motion assets for a massive global media buy.

My responsibilities included:

  • Collaborating with internal creative teams and trusted agency partners.

  • Presenting concepts to CMO and Executive Producers, managing feedback and revisions.

  • Overseeing budgets, timelines, and global asset distribution for large paid media campaigns.

Fire Country: Art Direction for a Hit CBS Drama

I served as Art Director for the multi-season marketing campaign of the hit CBS series Fire Country (Seasons 1–4).

My role was to define and execute a heroic, cinematic, and emotionally driven visual strategy that successfully captured the intense, high-stakes drama of the show. I oversaw the full creative process: from developing initial mood boards and art-directing talent photography (shot by James Minchin), to leading a team of internal and external partners in the production of all final print, digital, and motion assets for a massive global media buy.

My creative strategy focused on developing heroic, cinematic, and emotional visual assets to build anticipation and showcase the lead talent and ensemble cast. I led the development of mood boards and sketches to guide extensive asset capture shoots in Los Angeles and on set in Vancouver.

Established a cinematic and heroic visual identity across print, digital, and social platforms. Oversaw creative production, budget, and global asset delivery for a major paid media strategy. Delivered the #1 most-watched new show of the 2022–2023 season (avg. ~10M viewers/episode).
